I have just recently joined Twitter and found it an incredibly useful tool for assembling information and news (and I do not only mean "what are you up to" kind of tweets). Since I visit dozens of pages related to one of my deepest interests, i.e. Weird Fiction, on a daily basis (mostly in search of news related to the genre), I thought I could put it into some use and keep track of news and links to sites on this subject by means of Twitter on this blog. I primarily see this new Twitter account as forming part of Dominium Irrealis (displayed in a widget in the column on the right) and as a way of listing sites and events I come across that I could later use for my own purposes, but at the same time that others might be keen on following.
I would like to keep the scope of Weird Fiction News as broad as possible, but it might reflect and concentrate on aspects of the genre that I find particularly appealing with sources found on a limited number of sites I keep in my bookmarks. Those who feel like I'm imposing my own tastes, e.g. by paying more attention to particular authors, or simply don't care about the amount of weird news inundating their Twitter accounts might be more comfortable not following WFN on Twitter, but instead, considering they find any of this information worthwhile, simply popping into Dominium whenever they wish.
Tweets will focus on:
